During this session we will provide an introduction to Patent Searching. This will include:
- Keyword (Topic), Assignee/ Applicant Searching- Search limiters (eg – dates) & stop words
- Search with Boolean
At the end of this module, participants will have learned basic patent search skills and technique. Register for one of the below dates:

This session will focus on Patent Search on a more intermediate level and will include:
- Legal Status, Citations, Sub-Searching (Novelty, Technical fields, etc)
- Combination Searching (Classification + keywords + Country, etc)
- Searching strategy development like a patent examiner
At the end of this module, participants will have refined patent search skills and strategy. Register for one of the below dates:

This session will focus on the following topics:
- Creation of a dataset for downstream analysis.
- Includes insights charts, trend graphs, country analysis, strength indicators.
- Introduction to Deep analysis (Text Clustering/ Themescape)
At the end of this module, participants will have experience with patent data analytics. Register for one of the below dates:

>> 17 September, 13.00 – 14.00 (60 mins) South Africa time
- DNA & Biological Sequence Search best practices.
- Determination of novelty assessment on DNA/ Biological sequences.
- Evaluation of sequences to ensure novelty and tolerance review.
At the end of this module, participants will done a biological sequence search. Register for one of the below dates:
