Create powerful library experiences

Leveraging technology to connect libraries, faculty and students

Ex Libris, Part of Clarivate, has conducted three global surveys to explore these questions. We wanted to know what librarians, faculty and students think and do with course materials and library resources. That’s why we’ve supported research in partnership with Library Journal and Alterline to gain insights into their attitudes, behaviors and needs regarding course materials and library resources.

Today, we share the key findings of these surveys and what they reveal about the role of libraries in student success. Download the paper and learn:

  • How students, faculty and librarians view the importance and availability of course materials
  • What barriers prevent faculty and librarians from integrating library resources into the classroom and how to overcome them.
  • How libraries can demonstrate their value and align their services with the goals of their institutions.
  • How libraries can collaborate more effectively with faculty.
"Provide free access to all mandatory readings. If a required or highly recommended reading is not available in the library/for free, provide some important quotes/a summary of the text for students who can’t purchase it."
