What's new in ProQuest One Psychology

Supporting one of higher education's most in-demand disciplines
Psychology remains one of the most popular fields of study, with students drawn to careers in mental health, healthcare, education, business, research and other growing professions.
At the same time, institutions are expanding support for student well-being and investing in resources that help faculty, researchers and future practitioners stay current with a rapidly evolving body of scholarship.

To help libraries meet these needs, ProQuest One Psychology continues to expand with new scholarly content, enhanced AI-powered research tools and features that support research integrity. Recent updates strengthen the platform's ability to support teaching, learning and research across the psychology curriculum.

New content for teaching and research

ProQuest One Psychology continues to grow with new resources that help students, faculty and researchers engage with both foundational and emerging topics in the discipline.

Recent additions include:
  • More than 100 new scholarly journals from publishers including Springer Nature, Nature Publishing and Oxford University Press.
  • More than 400 audio blog posts from the American Psychological Association's Speaking of Psychology series.
  • The Couple Therapy Video Series from the University of Minnesota Department of Family Social Science.
  • New professional publications including Generations Today and Counseling Today.
  • Additional conference proceedings, tests and measures supporting research and instruction.
Together, these additions provide richer coverage across research methods, clinical practice, counseling, teaching and professional development.

New AI-powered research tools

Students increasingly expect intuitive research experiences that help them engage more effectively with scholarly content. ProQuest One Psychology continues to enhance its AI-powered capabilities while maintaining a focus on responsible academic use.

The latest enhancements to ProQuest Research Assistant include:
  • Chat with the Document, allowing students to interact with full-text articles and explore content in ways that support their individual research needs.
  • Additional visualization capabilities that help users explore concepts and connections within the literature.
  • Expanded translation features that improve accessibility and support diverse learning communities.
These tools are designed to help students develop stronger research strategies, evaluate sources more efficiently and engage more deeply with scholarly content.

New features that support research integrity

As the volume of published research grows, helping students and researchers evaluate sources has become increasingly important.

ProQuest One Psychology now includes Retraction Watch indicators that provide greater transparency into the scholarly record. Records flagged by Retraction Watch display clear labels, such as Retraction Notice or Expression of Concern, along with supporting information that helps users better understand the status of a publication. Users can also exclude retracted articles from search results.

These enhancements help researchers make informed decisions about the sources they use while supporting information literacy and responsible scholarship.
