To educate front-end staff on denial trends and create greater accountability, leaders at Hennepin Healthcare implemented custom training workshops focused on specific denial types.
Denial analysis helped leaders identify several common patient access denial types for the training team to focus on, including real-time eligibility and hospital account record workflows. Between September 2020 and September 2021, the workshops helped the organization reduce those denial types by more than $1.1 million.
