April Dawn

Dr. April Dawn has led Clarivate’s ProQuest Dissertations & ThesesTM portfolio of products and services since 2019. April and her team of talented product and partnership professionals support a suite of solutions that assist institutional partners from around the world achieve their mission to curate and promote the global visibility of their post-graduate research. Prior to joining Clarivate, she served 12 years as a product manager and strategy consultant for a variety of software companies in different business sectors, primarily focused on creating solutions at the intersection of higher education and technology. 

Prior to joining the education technology business sector, April spent 10 years in the academy as a post-graduate fellow at Texas A&M University and an Assistant Professor in Integrated Biology at Michigan State University. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis, a Master of Science and Doctorate from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from the Eli Broad College of Business from Michigan State University. 

Austin McLean
Senior Director, Partnerships
ProQuest, Part of Clarivate

Austin McLean oversees a team that ensures universities have opportunities to maximize the dissemination of their PhD and Master’s Theses through the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global (PQDT Global) database, and resources such as the Web of Science.

He serves at Treasurer of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD), a non-profit group dedicated to sharing knowledge and best practices for Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs). Austin is a frequent speaker at library conferences, having recently spoken at the ETD and USETDA conferences. Austin holds a Master’s Degree, Certificate in Telecommunications Economics Policy and Science from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s Degree from DePauw University.
