Prof. Dr. Soottawat Benjakul is a professor in Food Science and Technology, International Center of Excellence in Seafood Science and innovation (ICE-SSI), Faculty of Agro-Industry, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Hat Yai, Songkhla, Thailand. His major fields of interest are the seafood quality as well as the valorization of fish processing byproducts.
For over approximately 24 years in his career, he has been named a prestigious award winner a few times including the top 1% of researchers for most cited documents in the field of Agricultural Sciences by Clarivate for 6 consecutive years. He is also appointed in major editorial boards Journal of Food Biochemistry, Fisheries Science, Journal of Food Science and Science Asia and also served as the associate editor for International Aquatic Research since 2010.
